What set is this?

Can anyone look at the attached picture and tell me what set these stamps are from? My friend gave them to me, and they say Stampin' Up 2004. Thanks in advance for your help.

Edited: Thanks to those who emailed me. In case you want to know, it's 5 of the 9 stamps from a retired set called Smorgasborders. Now I just need to figure out what to make with them!

Cat and Dog Halloween

I found this card on Ileana's blog and absolutely loved it, so I bugged Ileana for the information and tracked it down. Since Laura loves cats, Amanda and I love dogs, and Wendi loves stamping, I figured we'd all get lots of use out of the set. Here it is in case you love it as much as I do. (The set is from Inkadinkado and was 40% off at AC Moore.)

And here are the first cards I made with the set. Have a great day!

Hi

I needed a quick card, so I used a PageMaps sketch (of course) and some old { } stamps I hadn't used in a while for this card. Not so bad for a 5 minute project ... :)

Have a great day!

Need your creative help

OK, so I know August is insanely early to be thinking about Christmas cards, but I'm doing it already. My friends and I are getting together next week to start playing, and I wanted to have any idea before then. This is what I have so far, but I feel like it needs something else. Any suggestions? I have a gold brad star that I could put in the middle of the "joy" wreath. Or does it need something in the corners (or 2 corners)? Any suggestions you have would be GREAT! Thanks. :)

altered notebook

This is my first altered composition notebook. I've been looking at samples online for a while, and I bought a pile of them to make as gifts when I found a great back-to-school sale. I made this one for my co-worker's birthday this week, and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I got some great tips from this You Tube video on altered composition books. Enjoy!

My 100th post!

Wow - I can hardly believe I've posted 100 posts on my blog. Thanks to those of you who read them. :) I have a few cards to share that I made this morning. One is for the September card shower from Bela's Yahoo Group. Hope Janine likes it!

The other 3 cards are all made from the K&Company tags I won from the Springfest crop. Thanks Bela - love the tags!

Back from vacation

Hey ladies!
We just got back from a few days at the beach, so I've been catching up on some cards I needed to make this morning. The first one is a pocket card for one of my new teachers. I'm mentoring 9 new teachers this year, so I'm making each one a welcome card. (1 down, 8 to go!)

The next card is a thank you to my friend Wendi, who rented us her beach house for the week. It's 99 steps from the beach (according to her husband), and it was nice to be able to get away, even if it was only for a few days. Something about the sun and the sand makes everything else just drift away.....

The last card is for my friend Amanda who took care of Daisy while we were away. Daisy had a ball playing with Peanut, her pug. This card is based on another PageMaps sketch (no shock, I'm sure), and I like how it made me think outside of the box.

The last picture isn't a card, but it's my favorite picture from vacation. We ate dinner at Seacrets in Ocean City, and this was the view of the sun setting over the bay. Love it.

Girls' Weekend

My friend Beth and I have been doing girls' scrapbooking weekends for the last 3 years. Here are my layouts about this year's trip to Ocean City. The first page is based on a PageMaps sketch (love them), and the second page is a collage of everything else I wanted to include. :)

Stationery Box

I saw the coolest tutorial that a lady on Beate's Yahoo group found, and I had to try it. It's an all-in-one stationery box that includes cards, tags, mini cards (or love notes), a place for stamps, and a pen. Instead of an address book, I added post-it notes for reminders. I didn't get to make the cards yet, but I was so excited about the container that I had to share!

Here's the tutorial - I think you should try one. :)

Mystery Blog Candy from Janette

Hey ladies - here's a chance to win "mystery" blog candy. Check it out on Janette's blog: http://cardsandchat.blogspot.com/2008/07/happy-blog-birthday-to-me.html

Good luck!

Happy Harmony

While Laura was working on her creations, I took out the Happy Harmony set. I haven't had it that long, so I had fun looking for inspiration and playing with it. The "many thanks" stamp on this first card is from the dollar bin at AC Moore. I couldn't believe how much I liked it, epecially for a $1 acryllic stamp.

The inspiration for the next card came from one on Splitcoast. I absolutely loved her card, especially the 3-D butterfly. I think I would like mine better with the round Nestabilities, like hers. (Guess they go on the list!)

The last card was inspired from this one (by Brenda) that I saw on Beate's Yahoo Group. I liked the way she had the flowers coming in from the sides. Now I just need Crystal Effects like her card. (Sounds like I need to shop!) Happy Saturday, ladies.

Daisy's Haircut Layout

Yes, I know - everyone tells me we need children when they see my layouts about Daisy (my Bichon Frise). And yes - she's spoiled rotten. :)

This layout is for Bela's Summer Romance online crop, and I used the sketch below from the July Pagemaps sketches. The challenge from Bela was to use use different patterned papers from the same family. I used my favorite - Basic Grey. The light pink, dark pink, and circle papers are all from the Two Scoops line. Enjoy!

Teal and Brown RAK

I made this RAK this morning, but I won't say who'se getting it (since I haven't mailed it yet). I was inspired by this card by Beate, and while I still like hers better, this one's not too bad. I scored every inch on the diagonal and used the same basic colors and layout as her card. Hope the recipient likes it!

OC Getaway

When I saw the sketch on Becky's new Pagemaps Blog, I knew I wanted to play along. Here's my take on the sketch. (Just overlook the piecing job on the scan - it wasn't cooperating.) Hope you have a great Monday.
