Another challenge for Springfest

This card is another one of the challeges from Bela for the online crop. I'm loving it - lots of sketches and ways to get my brain thinking differently. I like the way the sketch for this card has part of the front cut out.

I also wanted to leave you with a picture of the puppy from today. Lou and I made crab soup, and Daisy waited patiently for scraps (of anything) to fall on the floor. Of course, she had plenty by the time we were finished. Can you tell she likes it when we make soup? :)

Sketch Challenege from Donna

Donna posted a fabulous sketch for blog candy, so here's my card. I hope she likes brown, blue, and purple! :)

Bookmark Blog Candy WINNER

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the 6 amazing women who took time out of their busy lives to make and send bookmarks for my students. I can't thank you enough. The winner of the (yet-to-be-determined) blog candy is ........ Kathy! I'll put some goodies in the mail to Kathy soon. Here's a picture of the bookmarks she sent - I just love them.

I received 82 bookmarks, which I still can't belileve! You guys really are the best. If you have bookmarks that you didn't get to send or want to whip up a few this weekend, I still need about 20 more and would really appreciate it. Have a great Memorial Day weekend.

Get Well Wishes

Our friend Randy had knee sugery, so I made him this card. It's really hard to make non-girly cards with no flowers, sparkle, or pink! :) I do love this paper from Basic Grey, though, so it made it a little easier. Have a great rainy Tuesday.

Friends (with puppy Bela)

I was very excited to use one of the stamped Bela images from my SBS sister Kim. Thanks again, Kim!) They're so adorable, and I knew this one was perfect for my dog-loving friend, Amanda. I especially love the sparkle of the Stickles in the girl's (and dog's) bow.

Also, I'm still looking for about 30 more bookmarks. See this post for the details. If you need more information, feel free to email me. Thanks again to everyone who's already sent bookmarks - they're awesome!

Have a great sunny Saturday.

Laura's (Cat) Birthday Presents

My friend Laura from work LOVES cats, just like I love dogs. She got a cat-a-day calendar for Christmas and hides the pictures of cats all over my office, and I find them little by little. Since her favorite colors are pink and brown, I hope she likes this cat set I made for her birthday. It includes a magnetic note board, a post-it note holder, and reusable paperclips.
I got the idea for the paperclips from Krista (check them out on her blog). She posted them to Beate's Yahoo group (lots of great ideas from crafty ladies!), and when I saw them, I couldn't wait to try them. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
