Pink Challenge and Smile

Here are the rest of the cards for my aunts from fun on-line challenges. The first one is for the Caardvarks' challenge to use pink. That's certainly not a problem for me. :)

The last card uses a sketch from Di Hickman (and is for my Aunt Di)!

Have a great Sunday, ladies!

Love and Good Times

Since I needed to make a few cards to send pictures to my aunts, I hunted around for some inspiring challenges. The first card is for the Arty Girlz challenge to incorporate a nature theme. I thought these muted colors looked nature-inspired, and of course flowers are my favorite natural elements. :)

The second card follows the sketch at Papertake Weekly Challenge. I liked the 2 circles in the bottom right hand corner of the sketch, but i decided they worked better as a circle and a flower. Hope the aunts like their pictures and cards.

Love Matters

So here are the last of the creations from my weekend card-making adventure. I made 3 cards using stamps from SU's "Love Matters" set that I borrowed from Wendi. I liked it so much that I jumped on ebay when she left and bought me my own set. :) Thanks for looking - have a great day.

Pick-a-Petal Cards

Here are a couple more creations from my crafting day on Saturday. My friend Wendi brought her new stamp set, Pick-a-Petal (I forget the company), and I had a great time playing with it. The cards aren't too fancy; I feel like they need something else, but I do like the patterned petals. I guess they'll work. The first one is for the new girl in our office, and the other one is just to have on hand.

Triangle Trifold Card

Yesterday, I created my first triangle trifold card - how fun! (Here are directions from splitcoast.) Laura received a card like this and wanted to make one, so I did this one to figure out how to teach her to do it. It also meets the requirements for a swap I'm in (orange and teal). Happy Sunday!

Laura's First Cards

If you remember from about a month ago, I made a set of cat-themed office supplies for my friend Laura's birthday. Yesterday, Laura came over to my scrapbook room and made cards for the first time. She kept saying she wasn't going to "drink the Kool-Aide" (get into it), but here's my proof! I think she did a great job.

Thank you pictures

The students and I are sending out a HUGE thank you to the 6 ladies who made bookmarks for our celebration yesterday. They loved them, and they especially liked hearing where you all lived and that you would take the time to make something for them. Here are pictures of some of the groups posing with their bookmarks. Thanks again - you guys rock!

Card-Making Day

I've made a bunch of cards this afternoon and thought I'd share them with you. The first ones are a set of flip-flop card for my mom's friend, Mary Jane. Mom saw ones I made for someone else and said Mary Jane would love them. Of course, that meant I had to make her a set.

The other cards are birthday cards for my DH's family. The first one is for his sister, and the other 2 are for his twin neices. They're all based on sketches from the June Card Maps from Page Maps (love their sketches).

Birthday LO from Sketch

Here's my take on challenge #3 from Bela's online crop. The requirements were the large cirlce with a scalloped edge, flourishes, and the pierced border. I had fun trying to get in all of the elements while keeping the page masculine for my husband's friend's birthday party. Here's the sketch and my layout.

Happy Together

My friend Amy from work got engaged this past weekend, so I made her this card to celebrate. (My favorite part of the card is the pink Stickles in the center of each flower, which you can see better when you click on it.) The ring is gorgeous, and Amy is very excited - so cute! Thanks for visiting.

I Got Mail!

On Friday, I received 2 RAK cards - what a great mail day. The first is this beautiful ballerina card and goodies from Courtney. I love the creative way she used a flower for the tutu. So clever! Thanks, Courtney!

The second RAK is from JoAnn through Cropper's Time Zone group (a Yahoo group of great girls). The theme was Father's Day, and this is a perfect card for a fisherman dad. She also sent these clever pink flowers, which I definitely have to figure out how to make. Thanks, JoAnn.
