July Birthdays

Two of our friends have July 23rd birthdays, so I made these cards for them. The first one is based on the Taylored Expressions sketch #122. I was having fun with my new butterfly punch and pearls.

The next one is based on Sketch #128 from Sketches by Tamara. I love the paper but am not exactly crazy about the way the card turned out. I think it would have been better with less yellow and a strip of an additional paper. Oh well.

Thanks for looking, and hope you're keeping cool in this blistering heat!

Round butterfly card

I told my mom that if she used the cards I made her, I'd make her some more. She just sent me a thank you note in a card I made her, and the PS said, "This is the last thank you note I have. Hint, hint." She's subtle. :) I based this card on one I saw on the Cards and Things Challenge Blog. I borrowed the script stamp from my friend Wendi and used my new butterfly punch to add a little 3-D quality to it. Have a great evening.

Wedding and Baby

I needed a wedding and a baby card, so I went to Splitcoast Stampers (one of my favorite sites) for inspiration. I saw multiple versions of both of these cards and loved them. The first card is for my friend Linda who just got married. My friend Val and I were the photographers at her wedding, so once I Photoshop 1200 pictures, I'll give her this card with the edited DVD of pics.

This second card is for my brother and his wife, who are also expecting. I love these baby carriage cards; I, however, couldn't get the handle right, so I left it off. My husband thinks it looks like Pacman, but hopefully they'll get the idea.

Happy day!
